How Can I Help?
Your financial gift is the most important single action you can take to help the vulnerable children and elderly in Georgia. U.S. dollars have great purchasing power in Georgia. This fact, when combined with AFG’s hands-on-project monitoring of our Georgian partners, means that your gift is multiplied many times over.

AFG: Projects: Children: Education

At one time, Georgia had one of the most highly educated populations of any country in the world.  The deterioration of the educational system in Georgia, due to the inability of the government to provide adequate funds, means that a generation of children is being deprived of the skills and knowledge necessary to rebuild their country.  Georgia needs more than ever a highly educated population in order to create a new, vital democratic society.

  • Art Education Project for Vulnerable Children --  Children in AFG’s projects are being offered the chance to see their first ballet, concert and museum.  Artists and musicians are bringing entertainment and art therapy to hospitalized children (Learn More click here

  • The American Academy  --  Modeled on American private school education, the tuition of this high school in Tbilisi is beyond the reach of most Georgian families.  Therefore, AFG is seeking sponsors to provide scholarships to two qualified needy Georgian children
