Tbilisi Puppeteers Entertain IDP Children

On May 19, AFG hosted a group of 25 children from Shavshvebi IDP settlement to a puppet show at Marjanishvili State Theatre.

“Lies and Truth” was produced by Zura Kikodze and the Puppeteers Club for the children; after the show, they welcomed the children backstage to meet the puppets and take photographs.

The show was part of AFG's Art Education and Rehabilitation program for people affected by the August 2008 war. The children participated in a Creative Theater Workshop prior to the “Lies and Truth” show and will create their own marionette production later this summer.

The event – and workshop – would not have been possible without the invaluable support of Mr.Kikodze  and the Marjanishvili State Theatre. Their work has brought joy to dozens of children recovering from the trauma of war.
