Georgian Publishing House Sakhe(l)ebi organized a charity auction to support AFG work in Palliative care / the Mercy Center Hospice at the convent of Transfiguration in Tbilisi.

The funds raised during the auction – 13 000 lari – will be used to help 75 centenarians living in Georgia, as well as to support the Home care/nursing program of Mercy Center Hospice.

Afg Continues to Support the Mercy Center Hospice - Mother Nino's trip to San Diego

Mercy Center Hospice

Mother Nino, Director of AFG's project Mercy Center Hospice visited San Diego in August 2011 as a participant of a three-year course in the San-Diego International Palliative Medicine Fellowship Training Program.

The program enables physicians from outside North America to receive specialist-level training at a leading palliative care education and research facility without having to leave their home institutions for extended periods of time. Mother Nino's participation was possible due to AFG's fund raising efforts earlier this year.
