Community College of Decorative Gardening
Since 2006, AFG has worked with Mother Tekle as part of the Community College of Decorative Gardening, the first and only landscaping school in Georgia.
​
The school provides opportunities for vocational training to Georgians (ages 18–34), and to date, over 1,200 graduates have gone on to careers as a result of their training.
ABOUT
Since the school’s founding, AFG has provided computers, textbooks, greenhouses and all manner of equipment for students who study tuition-free at the gardens of the Sameba Cathedral in Tbilisi.
Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we have also been able to send multiple students on study abroad programs to botanic gardens and schools around Europe to further their experience and education.
