AFG president Bill Corcoran announces a special partnership with Crosty for Giving Tuesday

Updated: Dec 7, 2023

For three days, starting Giving Tuesday, November 28th, the Georgian shoe designer and manufacturer, CROSTY, will donate a generous 8% of its sales to American Friends of Georgia. AFG is pleased to welcome new friends among CROSTY’s customers.

CROSTY, a designer sneaker brand founded in 2015 in Tbilisi, Georgia, blends Italian craftsmanship with Georgian heritage. The brand is renowned for its bold designs, which embody creativity, progress, and above all, freedom.

Crosty’s founders, brothers from Abkhazia, George and Shota Mikaia, know firsthand what it means to be victims of war. The brothers became refugees in their own country in 2008. So, as they have prospered, they wanted to give back through an agency like American Friends of Georgia that has supported Georgian internal refugees in the past and, more recently, Ukrainian refugees in Georgia.

AFG focuses programs on women and children who are among the most vulnerable in society supporting education, health care, economic empowerment and promotion of Georgian culture especially in remote areas outside Tbilisi.

We are grateful to CROSTY for recognizing the value of our programs and reaching out to us to offer this partnership.
