The largest academy of its type in the area, the Zaza Pachulia Basketball Academy gives low-income children in Georgia life-skills and opportunities for personal growth.
Founded in 2015 by retired NBA player, Zaza Pachulia, the academy strives to create an environment where Georgian boys and girls are able to develop on and off the court through a value-oriented education.
Every year, students aged 5-20 from all over Georgia are invited to join the academy to meet other students and learn basketball skills from the talented staff.
The long-term goal of the academy is to prepare students through training and education to allow them to attend top high-schools and colleges in the US and Europe.
The basketball academy is a value-driven organization that focuses on the values that basketball has to offer, like discipline, education, professionalism, work ethic, leadership, team work, and healthy lifestyles.
Every month, a guest speaker is invited from different industries to talk about some of these values to the students.
