A successful AFG Young Patrons Happy Hour

Updated: Oct 22, 2022

We were happy to see our young supporters and friends of Georgia gathered for our first Young Patrons Happy Hour in the restaurant Tabla, Washington, DC. The event was dedicated to creating a dynamic network of like-minded individuals while acknowledging AFG’s achievements, and further deepening ties between Georgian and American people in order to provide long-term support to Georgia’s most vulnerable.

Our Supporters Gathered for the Young Patrons First Event at Restaurant Tabla

We are so grateful to everyone who was able to attend the event and contributed to our goal of improving the lives of the Georgian people. The evening was led by Ana Lejava Chair of the initiative and AFG board member Elise Sidamon-Eristoff who delivered an inspiring speech about the importance of Young Patrons as well the AFG’s work. It was a true honor to have our board members and representatives of the Georgian Diaspora along with young professionals gathered around a good cause. Our guests enjoyed connecting while sipping a glass of Georgian wine along with a delicious Acharuli Khachapuri. Special congratulations to our raffle winner who previously served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Georgia!

We are hoping to pursue our goal of creating a strong network of young professionals through monthly social gatherings of our friends who are interested in Georgian History and culture and supporting AFG's mission of creating a positive change.

Special thanks to Tabla restaurant and the Nelms for hosting, and creating a such welcoming environment for our guests!

Stay tuned for the next AFG Young Patron's social event!
