You can help us spread kindness, warmth, and hope. The need for humanitarian assistance has drastically risen in Georgia in the aftermath of Georgia’s October 2024 parliamentary elections. Numerous western governments have slashed aid programs. Hospitals and schools are struggling and are the first impacted. No gift is too small.
With your help we can immediately:
Guarantee that disabled adults at the Dzegvi shelter have sufficient food and medical care.
Supply most of the winter heating fuel for the elderly in hospice.
Ensure teenagers from remote villages finish their university education.
Supply more aspiring teenagers in remote areas with laptops and internet connectivity for their studies.
Our ambitious goals for 2025 include:
Construction of a new water well to provide safe drinking water for almost 100 beneficiaries living at the Dzegvi Shelter Community, the only shelter providing free living care to children and adults with diverse disabilities.
Replacing dysfunctional bathroom facilities at the Dzegvi shelter.
Expansion of the hospice care training program across Georgia’s regions.
Assisting in the construction of a new hospice care facility in Tbilisi to provide palliative care free of charge for Georgia’s elderly and terminally ill population.
Expanding AFG’s arts rehabilitation programs to benefit vulnerable children, especially those who have witnessed violence, experienced neglect, or lived in conflict zones and are dealing with unresolved trauma.
Expanding AFG’s educational programs in Georgia’s remote villages to break the cycle of poverty and to foster vibrant community development.
